Mimi is painting the good little witch's face.
It was a fabulous day for outside festival activities. There were a ton of people, lots in costume. When we first got downtown, there was a stage set up and there a group of about 6 or 7 people about to start tap dancing. We watched them for a few minutes. They were amazing...the best part was they danced to Rocky Top! Love it!
As we walked aound, there was lots of tents set up with people selling merchandise, lots of yummy smelling food, art & crafts to be done by kiddos, and candy to be trick-or-treated for. Once we made our way through the streets, we found the land of fun activites for youngsters. There was face painting, bounce houses, craft tents, a petting zoo, pony rides, and who knows what else. We did lots of it. I think Madison had a blast!
Pony ride...all by herself!
Downtown was fun! But by the end of it we were all tired and hungry. So it was off to dinner and early to bed.
On Sunday, Madison was feeling a bit under the weather, so we decided that trick-or-treating was out. But she still was up for getting drssed up (this time as Belle from Beauty and the Beast) and handing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. I think this may have been her favorite part of the whole weekend. Everytime the doorbell rang she would drop what she was doing and run to the door. Check to see if there were scary costumes first, and if all was clear she would grab some candy and start dishing it out. So cute! (Sorry, no pics from actual Halloween)
We had a pretty fantastic Halloween! Hope all you did too!
