The giant smoker/grillNext to the giant tent was this enormous smoker. It had a hitch for transport it was so huge. The really amazing part was what was in this thing. There was pork ribs, beef ribs, brisket, grilled chicken, hot dogs, a huge tray of bbq beans, like 12 loaves of delicious buttery bread, homemade BBQ sauce, apple pie, pecan pie, brownies...then not in the giant smoker was potato salad, chips and salsa, broccoli salad, cole slaw, candy, other chips, ice cream, coolers full of every soda known to man. It was quite a feast...not the typical tailgate...way awesomer! Mmmmmm. Needless to say we were stuffed!
After we got our tummies full it was off to the game. We parked a little ways from the stadium. It wasn't too bad...well except those hills. You know, there is nothing flat about Tennessee. So it was up a hill, down a hill, over a hill, across a hill, up a hill again. But we weren't alone, there was a sea of Tennessee orange shirts and hats everywhere we looked.
Go Vols
The University of Tennesse "Pride of the Southland" marching band. This is the "Power T". It splits down the middle and the football team comes charging down the middle.
This is where you wanna plug your ears because it was so loud from all the screaming fans!I gotta learn all the words to "Rocky Top" cause the band plays it...and the whole stadium sings it at the top of their lungs every time UT does something great...and even when they don't. We must've sang it 30 times during the game. UT fans are hardcore! Can't wait for my next game! Unforunately UT didn't win, but I had a blast! Friends, Food, & Fun! What a great day!
